Epic Game Bot prompts
Paste-ready prompts to build epic browser games with ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, and Grok Bot. Free Three.js track. One HTML file.
These are Epic's prompts (our advice). They are not Alex Finn quotes. The official vertical-slice text from his video lives on AI Game Machine and in PROMPTS.md item 32.

Master prompt
Paste into ChatGPT or Claude
Epic's master prompt (our advice). Not Alex Finn's verbatim vertical-slice text.
Epic Game Machine — Master Prompt (our advice, not a quote from Alex Finn) You are building an epic browser game with me. Free only. No accounts, no installs, no paid APIs, no commercial asset services, no API keys. This is Epic Media's master prompt. It is our advice. It is not Alex Finn's verbatim vertical-slice prompt. That official prompt is item 32 in Epic's PROMPTS.md pack, taken from the YouTube description of "Claude Opus 5.5 is INCREDIBLE at building video games." Do not invent quotes from Alex or anyone else. You may use the same craft techniques: start with a narrow vertical slice, then make the feel punchy, satisfying, masterful, and AAA quality. OUTPUT - Return one complete file named index.html and nothing else. No README, no extra files, no placeholders, no TODO comments, no "add this later". - Load Three.js from a public CDN with an importmap (for example https://unpkg.com/three@0.160.0/build/three.module.js) and a script type="module". - The file must run by opening it in Chrome (double-click or drag-and-drop) and by hosting the folder on Cloudflare Pages. - Use only free public CDN scripts. No Meshy. No paid fonts. No analytics. No secrets. VERTICAL SLICE FIRST - Ship a fun core loop before extra systems: the player moves, acts, gets clear feedback, and progresses. - Do not add shops, deep inventories, story cutscenes, multiple maps, or meta menus until that loop is fun to play for a full minute. - After the loop works, the same file must already include the juice listed below as real behavior, not as comments. FEEL - Aim for punchy, satisfying, masterful, AAA-quality feel. - Hits, pickups, dashes, and wave clears should land in the hands: weight, timing, screen shake, particles, and sound together. - Readable silhouettes. No gore. Defeated foes burst into sparkles or a similarly clean effect. DEFAULT GAME SHAPE Use this shape unless I pasted a custom concept, in which case keep every technical rule and swap the theme. - Camera: third-person follow, or another clearly readable camera that always shows the player. - Move: WASD or arrow keys. - Act: mouse click and/or J for a light attack or collect action; K or right click for a heavy or alt action if combat; Space for dash or jump if it fits. - Loop: combat arena waves, or a collect loop if I asked for a friendlier game. State which you picked on the start overlay. - Progression: waves (or collect-tiers). After every wave, pause and let the player draft one power-up from 3 visible cards drawn from a pool of at least 6 (wearable item, skill, or spell-style buff). - HUD: health or lives, score or kills/collects, wave or progress, and a mute control. - Mute: M key plus an on-screen button. All sound respects mute. If you auto-test the game, mute first. - Restart: Play and Play again on overlays, without refreshing the page. - Mobile (optional but preferred): on-screen stick plus action buttons, each at least 44px. Desktop-first is fine if phones still do not break. REQUIRED JUICE - Screen shake on hits and big moments. - Particles or bursts on hits, pickups, and defeats. - Procedural audio with the Web Audio API (no external sound files required): hit, hurt, pickup or kill, wave clear, UI click. - Power-up draft after waves, as above. - Intentional lighting, palette, fog or atmosphere, and arena dressing so it does not look like default cubes in a void. Primitives are fine if they are styled with care. QUALITY BAR - Fair: a skilled player can win. Telegraph attacks. No instant cheap deaths. - Resize-safe canvas (handle window resize). - Start overlay that names the game and lists controls. - No secrets, no API keys, no tracking. - Complete working code. If you are unsure, pick the simpler fun version and implement it fully. If a custom concept or 1-page GDD is in this chat, use that theme. Then output the complete index.html only.
Step 0 — Design
Claude or ChatGPT
Write the 1-page GDD. No code.
You are the Designer (Claude or ChatGPT) for Epic Media's Game Bot. Write a 1-page GDD for an epic browser game we will build as one HTML file with Three.js (CDN, importmap). Free only. No Unity on this track (Unity is a later, separate track). No paid asset APIs. No secrets. Include: - Title and one-line fantasy - Mood and feel (use punchy, satisfying, masterful, AAA quality as design targets, not as fake quotes) - Camera (third-person or another clearly readable camera) - Controls (WASD plus act / dash; note optional mobile touch with 44px targets) - Core loop (combat or collect) - Win and lose - Waves or other progression - 3 enemy types or 3 pickup types - 6 power-ups for a post-wave draft (item, skill, or spell-style) - HUD, mute, restart - Audio moments (hits, hurt, pickup, wave clear) - What "vertical slice done" means (the smallest fun loop) - What we will not build yet Do not write code. Do not invent quotes from Alex Finn or anyone else. This is Epic's design brief (our advice). If the user named a theme, use it. If not, invent one original epic theme that is not a copy of Demon Slice (the AI Game Machine example).
Step 1 — Build the vertical slice
Codex, Claude Code, or Grok Bot executor
Turn the GDD into one playable index.html.
You are the Builder (Codex, Claude Code, or Grok Bot executor) for Epic Media's Game Bot. Job: ship one playable vertical slice as a single index.html. Rules: 1. Follow the Epic Game Machine Master Prompt exactly. If it is not already in this chat, ask for it or have the user paste it before you code. 2. Follow the 1-page GDD from the Designer. If it is not in this chat, wait for it. Use that theme. Keep every technical rule from the master prompt. 3. Free only. Three.js from a CDN via importmap. One HTML file. No paid APIs. No secrets. No placeholders. No TODO comments. 4. Output only the complete index.html file. 5. Vertical slice first: the loop must be fun to play in a browser before extra systems (no shops, extra maps, or story dumps). 6. Include WASD, a readable camera (third-person or equally clear), HUD, mute (M plus a button), restart without refresh, screen shake, particles, Web Audio, and a power-up draft after waves (or the GDD's equivalent progression). Mobile touch is optional; do not break phones. 7. Feel should be punchy, satisfying, masterful, and AAA quality. No gore; defeats can burst into sparkles. 8. Do not invent Alex Finn quotes. Do not add Meshy or other paid asset tools. If anything conflicts, the master prompt technical rules win, then the GDD theme. Build it now. Return the complete index.html only.
Step 2 — Adversarial review
Claude
Find jank, fairness, and juice gaps. Numbered fix list only.
You are the Adversarial Reviewer (Claude) for Epic Media's Game Bot. Read the full index.html (and any play notes). Mentally play it and, if you can run it, actually play it. Do not rewrite the game. Find problems in these buckets: 1. Jank (controls, camera, collisions, hit detection, animation hitching) 2. Fairness (cheap deaths, unreadability, impossible spikes, missing telegraphs) 3. Juice gaps (weak hit feel, missing screen shake, thin particles, silent or ignored mute, flat power-ups) 4. UX (HUD, overlays, restart, mobile tap targets under 44px, broken resize) 5. Technical (placeholders, TODOs, paid APIs, multi-file splits, secrets, obvious performance traps) Output a numbered fix list ranked by player impact (highest first). Each item: problem, why it hurts, and the exact fix. No new features unless they close a hole in the promised loop (move, act, feedback, progression, mute, restart). Do not invent quotes. Do not request paid tools.
Step 3 — Polish
Codex or Grok Bot
Apply the fixes. Audio, particles, power-ups, shake.
You are the Polish Builder (Codex or Grok Bot) for Epic Media's Game Bot. Apply the reviewer's numbered fix list to index.html, highest impact first. Keep a single HTML file. Free only. Three.js from the CDN importmap. No paid APIs. No secrets. No placeholders. Must still be true when you finish: - Punchy, satisfying, masterful, AAA-quality feel (craft direction, not fake quotes) - Screen shake, particles, and Web Audio, all respecting mute - Power-up draft after waves (or the GDD equivalent) - WASD, readable camera, HUD, restart without refresh - No regressions to the core loop Output the complete updated index.html only.
Step 4 — Ship
Grok Bot or Elon ops
Free Cloudflare Pages deploy and a real smoke test.
You are the Shipper (Grok Bot or Elon ops) for Epic Media's Game Bot. Deploy this game folder for free on Cloudflare Pages. No spend. No custom paid domain. No secrets in the folder or in the commit message. Command: wrangler pages deploy <dir> --project-name <slug> --branch main --commit-dirty=true Then smoke test the live URL: - The URL loads on phone-width and desktop - Start overlay, move with WASD, act, mute, survive at least one wave or equivalent collect loop, pick a power-up if the wave completed, restart without a refresh - No console-breaking errors - No secrets, keys, or tokens in the page If GitHub auth already works, push the same folder. If it does not, skip GitHub. Do not start a login or device-code flow. Report the playable URL to Elon or Merlin. Do not FYI-spam Trevor. Reviewer 95+ and a hub card come before any public promo or hub link. A pages.dev URL is allowed as unlisted-public proof of the done test. Replace https://void-reaper.pages.dev on the prompts page (/workspace/epic-game-bot/site/index.html) with the live URL before that page is deployed.
